I am thinking about purchasing my first gas forge, and i am looking for information on a good one to buy. Any help would be apreciated.

george makes the best forges out there... about 1/9th of the price of a good blown forge and a lot more efficient. worth the cross country travel if needed

Kind of related so. On a vertical forge using a blower, is there a ratio of height to diameter that should be followed for even heating?

I'm in the process of making one too, and and going with 21 inches on a 16-inch pipe. Why you ask? Because that's what Bill Buxton has, and I don't know any different.
