I'll be there Saturday. Maybe if a few members are going to attend, we could pick a time and place to meet?

Alright! I was just wondering about the show and couldn't find anything online. Thanks!

Right now it's a maybe for me.

Tom,
If I go that sounds like a good plan. I missed out on meeting you last year.

I will try to make it there again this year. I have been fighting the floods --- the Arnold/Fenton area is a mess.

Hopefully the crowd will be even greater this year. Typically there is a gun show the same weekend that we compete against. However, the gun show has been scheduled for a different weekend this year.

Hey Mike - is there a good place for Bladeforums members to meet? Great show last year, I think if there was an assigned time/place we could connect easier, I just don't know Carpenters Hall very well. Thoughts?

What type of items can be expected? Or is there a place with more info? Thanks

The last three sentences in Mike's original post sum it up pretty good. It's all about knives and knife related items. There were some impressive tables there last year and I'm sure this year will be the same.

Any knife enthusiast is sure to have a great time.

What makers and manufacturers showed up last year? Thanks.

Mike could probably answer your question in more detail but here's what I remember:

Grand Prairie Knives had a table set up with lots of Spyderco and Benchmade knives, among others.
Mike Alsdorf had a table.
There was a maker with some awesome fixed blades. I don't remember his name but he used uncommon materials to make the handles. The one I remember the most was made with a pine cone. Doesn't sound attractive but man, that was a beautiful knife. Very unique and just a gorgeous knife as were all the knives on his table.
There were a couple of other custom slipjoint makers there that I have heard of but their names escape me now.
I don't remember seeing any any actual manufacturers there other than custom makers.
Plenty of tables with new and vintage knives.

Off the top
Of my head these are some of the makers that were there last year and probably will attend this year too

Sniper Bladeworks
Rick Nowland
Seamus Knives
Mike Alsdorf
Mike Pelgrin (MP3 knives)
John Bardsley
Rob Ratliff
Randy Larsen
Ray Cover
Craig Camerer
Mark Nevling (Burr Oak Knives)
Rick Hill
Jim Krause
Paul Myers
Plus several more...

Also there are a few "brand specific" tables for Randall Made knives. Also in attendance is Adams Knife Works for all of your automatic knife needs. Grand Prairie knives should be there. Plus several indepent small volume dealers of spyderco, ZT and benchmade.

Will at meet up at the concession area at 11am Saturday, the 30th work? The concession area will be inside of the actual show area. A few of us met up at that spot last year- Rick, Andy (Mqqn), Scott(pearl2291), and myself.

Sounds good to me! I am going to post a link to this thread in Carls Lounge as well, I think there are a few Traditionalists in the area :).

I'll have to go Sunday if anyone else is headed up there then. The earlier the better.
