Gateway Area Knife Show 2016 - SAINT LOUIS, MO

I'll be there Saturday before heading to work. I've gone both days the past two years, but won't be able to on Sunday because of the Soulard pet parade and taste of Soulard
.

Mike,

Thanks for starting this thread to help bring out local BladeForum Community closer together. I'll be there on Saturday & am looking forward to meeting up with fellow members.

For what it is worth I have been to this show each of the last 2 years & in my humble opinion it is BY FAR the best knife show in the St. Louis Metro Area for the year. There is something for everyone from $1K high end customs to box-o knives your choice $5 & a mix of everything in between.

Looks like I'm getting a Grizzly G0704 mill from a neighbor. Means I won't have any $$$ for the show though.

There are several guys that trade knives that the show. Some guys will buy from you too.

I'm trying to get my first round done. My workshop isn't heated and I'm going to have to suck it up. I'll be getting a knifemaker membership here soon.

i'm excited. Taking my oldest son (17) for lunch then a knifeon good time Saturday. Told some people that may show.
If it's too much to enjoy Sat. i may return w/ my boy and bring a couple more impressionable young knife lovers Sun.

I'm planning on attending Sunday. I've been wanting to for the past few years, but it seems like I've either forgotten about the show until after it passed or had somewhere else I needed to be instead.

I really hope all you guys can make the show. We (bladeforums members) are planning to meet up Saturday the 30th at 11am by the concession stand.

I'll be there Saturday. And I shared the flyer on my Instagram, hope that's cool.

That's more than cool. I don't belong to any social media websites. I appreciate you spreading the word.

Anyone interested in joining then gateway area knife club (GAKC) can do so in person at the show. Membership is $12 annually or $6 if you are retired. Our club meets the second Thursday of each month at the same location as the upcoming show. Membership is not required to attend meetings. We'd love to add a few new members, or at least increase the number of guys (and gals) that attend the meetings.

Filed our taxes today so that gives me a little wiggle room. My wife and I will be there tomorrow.

See you all at the concession stand at 11:00 if you can make it.

Will likely be tied up at the table at that time as I will be there by myself, but hope to see you at the show.

Took my son to lunch early this week so we could arrive earlier, unfortunately i mentioned 11 o'clock to my wife so my son set a guitar appointment for 10, with a 45 min trip i may not meet You gents today, but it'll be a knifing good time.

You're going to be there? You have killer knives 👍
I may have to go just to check them out!

Nice to meet you folks today. Will be there tomorrow from 9 - 3 , if you weren't able to make it out today come on out tomorrow.
Hope to see more of you cats then.

Sorry I missed you, Jim. My wife and I stopped by your table twice just to say hi but you were busy making sales both times. Didn't want to interrupt. I hope you had as good a day as it looked like you did.

Great show, enjoyed putting some faces to names today and meeting some of you fine folks. I can't make it again tomorrow but will be attending the meetings when I can going forward. There needs to be a St. Louis Area Knife Collectors bbq at some point :)

There are a two other shows that our club tries to support...one is in East Alton, Illinois in April (I think) and another in Belleville, Illinois in July. Both are great shows in their own right.

A BBQ or get together sounds like a good idea.
