"Gateway Drug": what was your first (CRK or non-CRK) knife that started it all?

Before I knew anything about knives, my 1st knife was those cheap budK. Then I graduated to a s&w folder, then crkt 1*. I was in high school then.

fast foward to a few years ago, I saw a chris reeve and had to have one. I quit cigarettes and rewarded myself for quitting.

That's when it really began.

My first knife was for work and it's a Kershaw Camber. Great little knife for what I use it for. Then a LW Manix 2 S110V, Dragonfly 2 w/ G10 scales and then a ZT562CF. Added a large and small Griptilian with custom made scales and I was on my way. From there I spotted a CRK Large 21 with Box Elder Burl. Fell in love with it and when I received it I noticed it was made on my parents 55th Wedding Anniversary. I've since bought two small 21's with Carbon Fiber from Knife Art (through the forum) that were made on my parents birthdays. Gave the Dragonfly to my dad so he had something small but nice to carry around and I added a new Manix 2 S110V as its replacement. I only have 9 knives and I have no intention of "Collecting" knives. I'm actually going to give a few away as gifts to special people. But I do plan on adding a Spydie Paramilitary 2 S110V. After all, let's not start talking all kinds of crazy about getting rid of knives and only having one or two to carry! ;-) I like having knives to carry for a purpose, or for a particular type of event.
