Hello friends !!
I leave for sale this Creole or gaucho knife, which is made of ladder pattern Damascus steel, as always, the reinforcement or button is integral and has file work, this particular shape is called Riograndence button. The knob is also made of Damascus steel and is fixed to the tang, also with file work. The wood is guayacan, from northern Argentina (very noble and hard wood), the dividers are made of stabilized birch. The sheath is also made of guayacan and stabilized birch, I have worked a lot on it, more than planned! The blade fits perfectly, so I don't use safety locks.
The knife has a 5.5" blade and its overall length is 9.45"
The steels that make up Damascus are 1070 and 15n20, their hardness is 58 Rc.
450 dollars.
