Gave it a shot.

Epoxy. Roughed up the brass and the epoxy soaks into the leather. Seems like it will hold. Time will tell.

That is really cool man, great work. Do you know if the pewter inlay buck uses on some of their knives would work as a stamp on leather?

I really like it. If the epoxy soaks in too much give the leather a thin coat of epoxy first and let that dry, then epoxy it to the bolster.

I like it. Thanks for sharing it Makael. Buck did a leather handle limited edition in 2008. I've got one somewhere but easier to find the catalog page.

I really like the look too!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Get the thickness of the leather right before epoxy and I think you have a very classy look with the stitching you added.

I did not know about this knife. Thats pretty cool.

That's really nice! I like the added touch of the stitching. You've opened my imagination to thoughts of alligator...or perhaps Ostrich. Pretty cool.

Really nice! The stitching is a plus giving it a classic look. My brother did leather work and I was always impressed with what was possible with the right stamps and tools. What I'd like to see is a tooled handle and matching sheith! You have a real winner there and I'll be looking for the next generation. .

That is actually a great idea. It looks great. I hope it works out. I wonder if it would have been possible to also have a hidden pin set up, somehow? Anyway, great job.

interesting idea. wonder how it will hold up under use over time......you gonna use it? so you can report back after awhile on it? thank you Sir.
