For sale is my unused Gavko custom chopper, built in 2012 for a customer as part of a very small batch of Elmax choppers. I am the second owner.
Mike designed this to be super light and fast. It balances 1.5" above the handles and should make short work of anything given Mike's excellent edge geometry. Given his outsourced HT (Peter's I believe) and torture testing I am confident it will hold up during use, and possibly some abuse as well. Mike also has excellent customer service and can do any repairs or changes if you need him to.
There is some scratching on the bead-blasted finish from the kydex, but otherwise it is new.
Specs:
OAL: 18"
Blade: 12" (cutting edge = same length)
Handle: 6"
Thickness: 5/32" (Mike says it is 3/16" but it measures slightly thinner)
Blade width: 1.5"
Grind: Full flat with convex blended edge (very, very, very sharp)
Steel: Elmax
Handle material: Green canvas micarta with blue G10 liners (removable)
Finish: Full bead-blast (including screws and scales)
Sheath: Multicolor kydex with large Tek-Lok

The price is SOLD including US shipping and paypal. This is much less than I paid, and again this is a 100% unique blade and few Gavko choppers are ever made and never at this price.
