GAW & Apologies

Good to have you back!
I try to stop entering giveaways, because I'm running a karma deficit, but wow!
I'm in.
I'm being a little hard on myself here, but BF is a lot of my social life. I'll take another picture at church this morning.

Good to see you posting again. That’s a beautiful knife, but this is not an entry from me. Here are some pictures you will hopefully enjoy, though.

I’m not much of a social animal, but I rode my bike past this place on my last trip, and it seems to fit the “slice of everyday life” vibe you are looking for:

If you zoom in you can see all sorts of interesting details. Not the type of place I would frequent, but I thought it was artistically done.

These are from a small town near the one above. I go there several times a year to buy meat:

I’m in if you see fit! I am at Pine Mtn. State Park cooking for The Mtn. Laurel Festivities this weekend. It is always a good time with good friends and coworkers. It’s been a few years since being here last. It’s my first in the capacity of Parks Foodservice Director. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!IMG_4810.jpeg

Here’s a picture taken at work, where I spend most of my time M-F. It’s a column capital, carved by a very talented co-worker from Mexico. IMG_7693.jpegHere’s another photo where I’m matching an Indiana Limestone cornice to a piece of pre-fab material that needs to be replaced due to deterioration. I’m making it on an old steel shop planer, from the 1920’s. IMG_2981.jpegI’d like to enter this giveaway on behalf of Gary, 5K Qs 5K Qs

Thanks for the opportunity! Lance

This is a creative GAW and as I like all knives Gallic can't resist :)

Picture I took in Tampere the 2nd biggest city while waiting for a medical appt. one day. Shows the mix of architecture from one corner: Foreground brick c19th factory office with spire built in Tsarist times , large Bauhaus style or what in known here as 'Funkis' style apartment block with giant clock and prestige apartments c.1920s/30s Background the Näsinneula tower with revolving restaurant on top 1970. 158 metre high

Another goddess from the show the legendary DS 21 who celebrates her 70th birthday this year, one of the most remarkable French cars of all time!

The game camera at the country house to catch exotic wildlife or undesirables thinks it can catch me? Uh uh..

First of all, welcome back & thanks for the GAW! I don't have much, aside from a gazillion knives & family. I have suffered many losses of the latter. However, I find great joy in my pets. My cats, to be specific. Our newest addition, Mooney is a wild & loving little boy. So, these little guys are a big part of my life right now. Smokey(all gray), Stewie(gray & white) & Mooney(orange & white kitten)

I'm in for Jer (screened porch) it seems like a knife he would appreciate and truly needs in his accumulation. Speaking of appreciation, thank you Âchillepattada for your generosity and support of the Forum over the years. Best wishes on your new position.

For years, our town invited various artists from around the world to come and decorate our downtown buildings.
Strolling through the neighborhood, I captured this work in progress.

On another walk about, I found this mural. Completed some years ago, it has been enjoyed by many.

There are dozens of original murals scattered throughout the downtown district. All are unique and beautify the area. Here is one of my favorites.

In! Our son Logan a working cowboy, on our colt Mitchy at Mitchie's first branding:

Southeastern Oregon, an area called Diamond.

It was incredible how well Mitchy did. There's a lot of commotion, lots of things to scare a young horse....

But he handled it all like he was an old hand. If we'd been standing there together watching and I told ya this was his 5th or 6th branding ya'd of gone wow he's really doing good. That it was his first was amazing:

Logan used Mitchy for five head and then changed out horses. You don't want to get colts too tired. Here he was setting up 8 year old Rainey so she could get the heel shot on this calf.

He switched to Lil Sis to finish the branding:

Rainey likes to ride "uncle" Logan's horses cause they are pretty broke (cowboy for well trained):

Lots of folks don't even realize that Oregon has this big, open desert country that extends for miles and miles.

We're retired from ranching nowadays but still like to keep our hand in. Mrs Horsewright and I helping a friend brand some calves he'd just bought. Here in Tehacahpi Ca.

I’m in, thanks! I haven’t had many European knives so this is a neat opportunity to try something new. My slice of life photo is my son’s stroller and beach toys. They’re sandy from having so much fun the other day. I don’t have much (any) social life with a baby taking up all of my time, but it’s worth it to hear him laugh at the beach. 🙂
