R.c.s. and Dan, great idea for a GAW for new people at BF!:thumbup: Thanks for your generosity, and good luck to all the entrants! I'll add a testimonial here: I have a RR lockback hunter like the one you're giving, but in jigged bone, and its a great knife!

Great idea for a GAW. Just a wild guess but with the assumption that many people who come to the traditional forum don’t just come off the street. Like myself, I’m guessing they tip-toe over or gradually migrate from the different folder knife forums. A lot of new terminology, construction and material applications from that of the tactical/ folder hobby equates to some intimidation especially with all the old timers whom seem to know everyone and everything within the traditional community.
So that being said, this is the ideal greeting medium to say “come on in; learn and enjoy.”
Thanks R.c.s & Parke1.
Barely disqualified...me

This is very generous of you both, so thanks! I'd like to be in. I'll post a picture of my favorite as soon as I get home.

Edit: added the photo of my favorite traditional.

Thanks for this opportunity.
This knife was a gift from my grandfather, he bought it from a knife maker in Spain.

I don't have 10 post yet but awesome giveaway. I realize I could make a few quick post and technically qualify, but that isn't my style.

Thank you R.c.s and Parke 1. This kind of generosity and the great pictures of various knives are what keep me around.

Thanks to Half/Stop for his picture. Now I HAVE to research that beautiful Farm & Feild Tool. I like the lines of that one. WOW!
