Gayle Bradley Flipper!

I'm jealous... Long time Spyderco GB fan. Got one when they first came out and carried it to Iraq for 8 months. Easily the sharpest, toughest folder I've had the opportunity to use. Now I'm going to have to put in a order for one of these...

What a gorgeous knife! You're a lucky gringo, indeed

From what I can tell, Mr. Bradley is just an all-around class act. God bless Texas!

That thing looks amazing. I get turned off by a lot of custom knives because some just don't look like the want to do work. This one has that balance of aesthetically pleasing but looking like it can be used hard. Congrats!

Congrats !
That is one fine looking folder, and a really great design.

Absolutely love that blade shape. I'm not a fan of flippers, but I'd be proud to carry that piece. Congrats!

That's a really cool flipper! Congrats. I like the coating on the carbon blade around the pivot area to prevent issues!

Man that's awesome, congrats on a fantastic looking knife. The clip looks like it's set up perfectly for relatively deep carry too; perfect edc.

There was actually a lot of thought that went into the design and placement of the clip. The angled positioning keeps the knife naturally nestled against the side of your pocket when carrying and also fits perfectly into the groove of your hand. It is hard to even tell there is a clip on the knife in use. I'm telling you guys, this knife is a very very smart design.

Okay, Lance, how does this thing "hold" in your hand?...comfort and stability?
It's VERY thin...so I ask.
My sweet-spot for folders is usually about 0.450" grip thickness...as per the PM2, and various CRK's...
Perhaps my thinnest folder is my Caly 3, and that's 0.352".

I have to admit, I was a bit nervous when he told me it was only .300"!! I mean that's really thin. The reality is the knife is amazingly comfortable in hand and goes almost unnoticed in pocket. The contoured scales make a big difference and the handle has the perfect width/height so that it properly fills the hand even though it is quite thin. I too am a big fan of the pm2 and its ergos, but this knife feels every bit as comfortable in hand. Would it be as comfortable in prolonged hard use as that design? I can't say yet, but I will almost certainly do some rope cutting tests with this one so I will know more after that. Given how good it feels in hand I expect it to be comfortable even during long sessions of hard cutting. We shall see.

I have never liked a single flipper in my life. Not even one. Not until I used this design. :)

Well, I like flippers, and I like Gayle Bradley's designs, so that is one hell of a knife, IMO! :D:thumbup::thumbup:. Congrats on a very nice score, and the pics are very cool. :)

That is definitely what I was thinking and you've substantiated it... ;)

The overall design of the knife looks like it will be a great user.:thumbup::thumbup::cool:

Here is a quick pic showing how it rides in pocket. This is low enough to go unnoticed but there's still enough knife sticking out to make it easy to grab. Because of the clip angle, when the clip is straight up and down the knife is pushed snugly against the inside pocket seam and never drifts into the center of the pocket. I should also mention that the jimping on the clip is cut on the outside only. It's perfectly smooth on the inside so it won't catch or hang on the pocket.
