There's a negative thread that was recently started here in the GBU (by brand new member doctorfab):

This thread IMO, did serious damage to an otherwise honest member's reputation? We don't know, because the other member wasn't given the opportunity to share his side of this highly questionable deal.

My question is this: does it matter that this transaction was NOT the result of a sales thread here? :confused:

Can't SC just start his own thread in response if he wishes mate ? Yes there were a number of issues in the last one but if SC chooses to let it rest....
 

^ I simply asked a question, for future knowledge- that's what the GBU's for. These 2 member's, aren't the only member's here whom conduct a transaction without a posting a sales thread. Every transaction that I engage in on BF's (with a relatively unknown), has the potential of a similar outcome occurring; you never know, whom exactly you're dealing with.

And yes, he's absolutely more than welcome to start his own thread. :thumbup:

I think issues that arise even outside of the exchange should be brought to attention here in the gbu when it pertains to members of the BF community. Today's thread, in a surprising turn of events, warned us of a member that is deceiving in his sale tactics, petty in his grievances, and manipulative in his retaliation (doctorfab). I sincerely believe that he succeeded in extortion of a well-respected member, because that member's reputation and time were worth more to him than fighting some low-life in a no-win situation. Many members had their ignore list grow by one today thanks to a gbu thread started by someone lacking the fore-thought into what that thread may cause. Several members saw that thread and decided to do some more research, and that revealed an obvious truth that was trying to be hidden. It's funny how doctorfab locked his gbu thread and withdrew his sale thread immediately when the truth was revealed. If it were up to me, he'd have the ban hammer thrown at him.

The one thing I really admire most, regarding the CRK sub-forum: the passion that you so many of your tight knit group feel towards not only CRK's, but also each other! This instance, is a perfect example of this! :thumbup:

Bravo! Well said. SG certainly deserves the support that has been shown. Class act making an issue right even though it was no fault of his.
