I'm heading to Baton Rouge for 2 days for some business, and will have the chance to head by the Bass Pro Shop down there. Anyone know of anything particularly good that they have so I don't miss any deals? Gonna swing by the Backpacker while I'm down there too. Hope to snag some good deals!
 
Bass Pro brand IM6 flipping rods are usually twenty dollars on sale. They are very competent for hard pulling fish like catfish and carp. I like the medium action .
 
They sell Klean Kanteens at Bass Pro. Those are always good.

Also LMF firesteels.....

Check out the streamlight Nano while you are there. Its a bombproof micro LED light for 9 bucks. Pefect for PSKs etc...:cool:
 
I'm wearing a pair of their Redhead hightops right now. Soft, and give me proper ankle support (I suffer from some foot injuries, and these are the only footwear I've got that my feet actually like). This is basically them, although styles are a little different now. I've gotten these things in the deep soupy mud, into water, climbed trees and rocks with 'em, you name it.
