I'll start it off with Nalgene water bottles. Always have one of these nearby cause I gotta stay hydrated! I would also say paracord as it is so handy for a myriad of things.

My stainless carabiner.
Chapstick
My Ridge, my Ka-bar folder and my Crown II were under $25. I could live without a folder, but I would feel under-dressed.

A Fenix E-01, kinda scared of the dark.....

a p38, paracord, cards, Cyalumes, good socks, a Condor EDC organizer, a Camelbak bottle (bite valve FTW), reusable eating utensils, a SAK super tinker, and a good Arkansas or Washita stone.

My Photon keychain light is one of the best sub 10 dollar pieces of kit I've purchased. They produce light all out of porportion to their size and mine made my Maglite Solitare seem pretty much obsolete.

I can live without a lot of these items if I substitute them for more expensive alternatives, but still:

SAK knife (under $25 would be the classic Soldier, in my case).
Zippo or IMCO lighter.
Leather key case to stop my keys from scratching everything up.
Drafting mechanical pencil, like a Uni Shift Pipe (I'm an engineer).
Small flashlight, Maratac AAA for me.
Chapstick, I guess?

Is that 25 American dollars, Euros, or Galleons?

I think DrivebyTrucker wins....
