Photon keychain light. Tiny, light and sufficient light to walk around or find something on the ground. That's all you really need from that type of light.

A pen, any kind, my favorite is a rite in the rain police\military steel body clicker. Has a pressurized cartridge writes anywhere, in any temperature. Also, at least a couple of scraps of paper for notes.

My Victorinox bantam alox. Small, nice looking with a useful blade and a bottle opener.

I'm up to four of those Timbuk2 3 way accessory cases. They discontinue sizes as cell phones change so that I bought all of mine for $5 each. I use them for cell phone, ipod, earbuds, business cards, pocket knife, ...

Great lists so far. What does everyone use for eating while camping? I have a titanium spork but I want to replace my crappy aluminum mess kit.

Nothin special, found the pot and lid at a thrift store for a buck. The fork was 10 and the stove was 20, i think.
DIY wind screen and pot stand, foil and three little metal rods. The rods actually work surprisingly well, ive bumped it a few times while it was in use and it barely budged.

Fenix E-01 Best EDC light I've ever had. It's always in my pocket and gets used daily. $15.00
Mora 2000 I love this knife, great piece of gear. $27.00 sheath and fire steel extra but got to have them.
Leatherman Wave Handy, handy, handy what a great tool. OK it's not under $25.00 but a must have. IMO

OK, so looks like I only listed one item under $25.00 but the others are worth the extra few bucks.:D

I use an old milsurp stainless mess kit, can be found for around $10 here, make absolutely certain you get the actual surplus one if you go this route, the modern civilian repros suck.

zippo
pack of smokes
stainless water bottle
climbing grade carabiner for my keys

i bring those almost everywhere i go.

A P38 can opener is a big one. There is no better value out there.
And a ballpoint pen. Zebra makes good stuff, but I'm not terribly picky.

What does everyone use for eating while camping?

I just grab a stainless steel spoon and/or fork from the kitchen drawer. I find kitchen drawer spoons are more functional since they have a long handle and deep bowl, the lack of which I know would really annoy me with expensive plastic or titanium eating utensils. Am I the only one?

I just like my spork for simplicity sake and the handle is long enough for me. I think this is the one I have.

I always have toothpicks with me. Round bamboo are the best. With all my knives and multi-tools I actually use my SAK classic the most for edc stuff, plus it has my back-up toothpick!
