Has anyone converted the main of the GEC #14 spear to a wharncliffe? If so, please post some pics. I know people have converted them to clip, which I wouldn't mind seeing pics of either. Thanks!

Well, I guess no one has. :( I wonder what is the likelyhood that GEC will come out with a single-bladed wharnie on the 14 frame? I find the 14 frame very coin pocket friendly.

The Sheepsfoot will be the next release, I believe. Kind of close to a Wharncliffe.

Coyote 14 is what yer looking for...nice little knives
The Coyote was a model #18, it's a little smaller than the #14.

I'd definately buy a 14 Sheepsfoot! I've read comments saying they thought the Coyote was a little too small. I figure if the 3" 14 works for me, there's no reason to go smaller, provided I can get the blade profile I like. I would like to try an 18 though. :)

The #18s are a little hard to come by and demand a good price on the secondary market. The #14 Sheepsfoot won't be released for another year or more. But if you're willing to try something the same size as an #18 with a Wharncliffe, the #06 Pembertons will be starting up production soon.

If you want a 3" sheepsfoot, this is the toughest, coin pocket friendly knife I know of. PhotoPictureResizer_181007_075742145-960x720.jpg

I'd like to have a #25 with a Sheepsfoot, but the secondary prices can be very hard to swallow. I'll definitely keep looking for that "deal" though.

I love love love my 25! But I didn't so much until I used a technique to relax the spring that I learned about.
I did over relax it probably by most peoples standards, but it's just right for me.

JohnDF JohnDF if you like a weaker pull you might think twice about a 25. Most are nice and firm, just like I like them.:)
I had a #25 but I didn't care for the Spear, but a Sheepsfoot would be nice indeed.
I'm okay with firm pulls and half stops, I've figured out how to ride the nail mark without tearing up my thumbnail when the need arises. But I definitely prefer a lighter pull or no half stops if I can find them on patterns I like.
