GEC 14 Wharncliffe?

Here is a Photoshop representation of what the wharncliffe Pembertons will look like. These will be the same size as the #18 Coyote. These might fit your needs and they should be available for a while after the dealers receive them. My guess is these will come out in late January or early February.

Thanks to Darren for creating these pictures. @waverave

Travman I don't keep up with GEC's production schedule and I should because I might have to have one of those. :D I've been busy chasing old knives all over the internet. It's amazing how many vintage knives that are out there and not just on fleabay. I just found and bought a Cattaraugus/A.G. Russell made in Seki Japan for his Knife Collectors Club. Barlow. I'm so excited.:cool:

The Sheepsfoot will be the next release, I believe. Kind of close to a Wharncliffe.

The Coyote was a model #18, it's a little smaller than the #14.

I'd definately buy a 14 Sheepsfoot! I've read comments saying they thought the Coyote was a little too small. I figure if the 3" 14 works for me, there's no reason to go smaller, provided I can get the blade profile I like. I would like to try an 18 though. :)
I happen to have a picture of a #18 and #14, if you want a size comparison. :)

Thank you for posting that picture. I had thought about asking for one. Judging by the patina, your 18 looks like it sees more use than you 14...

Hey John
The TC forum knife I sent you was one of 2 that I owned...I got a second via a swap with a porchmember from the Outer Hebrides....now MIA..
He had a huge collection of #25s....I sent him an Elk and a Goldenrod sawcut bone..they were among my first ever GECs...
I hope he is doing well.
Cheers.

I like the little #14. I suspect this will be included in their next offering on this frame. I looked far a wide at the retailers looking for a two blade with a clip blade versus spear. I found one after I consciously looked a couple years ago.

I believe the #62's had a wharnie and clip.... almost bought one of those and then opted not to spend the coin. I am really trying hard not to buy so many knives that I don't need anyway. I can tell you that the disease is lessening over the last couple of years. There is no treatment other than the AA approach.

It was 'hinted' that the next offering would be a sheepsfoot.
But who knows what Bill has planned.
I haven't heard any hints, but I see a pattern:
2016: spear
2018: clip

So I'm guessing Sheepfoot for 2020.

Dunno if I can justify the purchase, since I've got an old Boker USA equivalent knife in my pocket this very minute.*
