IIRC, 182 were sold to forum members but there were a few extra for repair/replacement etc.

I don't think feeling like an idiot is called for. It is a reasonably rare knife. I disremember exactly how many were made that year, but it was a reasonably small run as such things go.
 
Yeah, no need to feel like you got ripped. It's worth whatever you think it is!

Frankly, I would pay a small fortune for one - they're pretty scarce!
 
There was also the matter of a lot of harrumphing about the effectiveness of said bottle opener. I did a youtube vid displaying its awesome abilities in the hands of an expert without any modification. can't find that vid now tho -sorry.
I think its my favourite of the BF knives since I started with 2010:D
 
I'm glad that you guys enjoyed the video. :) I originally made the video for the reason that Meako mentions.

Back then the #85 pattern was probably as popular as the #15 pattern is now.

ahbiv, If you do a forum search, you will find a lot of information about the 2011 forum knife. Also, you may want to order the 2015 forum knife. The ordering information is stickied at the top of the forum.

the 2011 knife is a grail knife for a lot of people, I wish I had been on time to order one back then.
 
Plus, if you're not happy with the 2011 BF Knife, I'm sure you'll find plenty of people here that'll happily take it off your hands (me included) ;)
 
My thought is that Derrick at KSF might just get GEC under the Northwoods brand to make another batch if he feels they would sell. All it takes is a bug in his ear to get the gears turning. :D
 
nice score, i got 3 of them, one for me and the other 2 for a couple of buddies, GEC knocked it out on it, personally would have liked a pen blade for the secondary but the caplifter seemed to be a hit with the guys on the forum when we were working on getting it produced.
hopefully ya got the tube with it, i enjoyed doin the label for that one!
