GEC #22 Magnum Dllemma.

We've already talked about your new #22, but I just want to put in another vote for using it.

It is just going into its second full day, already i have taken a stone to the sharp shoulders of the blade tangs and buffed the spine of the blades so it is starting to become "my" knife and also filling the gap left by the #06 autumn gold pemberton that i have been kicking myself for parting with, but do you know what, i think i prefer the #22 it is a tad shorter and the gun stock bolsters are much nicer in my opinion.

I also filed the shoulders a bit, I think it makes a noticeable difference in comfortability. I think the #22 packs a lot of blade, particularly in the clip, for a 2-5/8" knife. I think the gunstock pattern is comfortable and just plain cool

I have been eyeing a stag #06 though. Seems unnecessary while I have the #22 though.

Funny thing oldmanrunning, I buy a $1K rifle and shoot the crap out of it, hunt in the rain, mud, etc. I buy a $30K car and drive the wheels off - but I buy a $100.00 knife and can't bear to mar it - doesn't' make sense - but I do it too! OH
Ps. Beautiful Knife!!

Old Hunter, that's the best I've heard it said. I was reviewing this thread as I'm considering a GEC 22 for EDC. Your words sure put things into perspective. Nicely put!. Thank you.
