It's my first GEC knife, so I thought it deserved some photos. I'm a newbie here on the forums. I posted this in the "wooden wednesday" thread, but thought more people may enjoy the photos.

I've always loved small pocket knives and just discovered GEC. I'm floored with the quality and love the traditional patterns. I think my wallet will be losing a lot of weight...

This is a wonderful little knife. Really tiny, you can carry it anywhere, but the two blades means its thick enough to be comfortable in the hand.

Thanks!
keegan

that is a cute little guy. what the closed length on it again?

either that or you have huge sasquatch hands :D

I don't have a magnum yet, but I've been looking at a couple in jigged bone. I'm a bigger guy myself, so it's good to hear that they're comfortable for you to use. I carry a #23 every day, so I thought a #22 would pair up with it well. GEC's biggest and smallest, seems like a no-brainer.

I am 6'5", not the first time I've been likened to the Dark Walker of the Woods.

hey depending on what shoes i wear i hover between 6'3 and 6'4
so i feel your pain!

but i have large hands, not huge hands like some folks, so its always hard to say :D

Thanks for posting these pics! I'm new to traditionals as well and have been eying the Magnum as well as Pemberton... hunting for that perfect 'small knife'. I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet because I am holding out for a single blade model (which seem quite hard to find)....

The reference of size is a lot of help..... especially next to the flieger type B... stowa?

:)

Sendcake ~ love that last photo of that bocote. It has great character to it. Welcome to the traditional addicts best place to congregate.

I'd be interested if they made one in 440c. Since I'm dreaming, I might as well say with micarta handles.

For some indescribable reason, this little guy appeals to me more than the peanut or the pemberton..
dont know if i am just being contrary or not, but he does look cool

I just ordered my first one earlier in the week and after looking at those spectacular photos I sure am glad that I did!

Keegan,

beautiful pictures. I love small patterns too, I'm quite restricted by UK carry law and although I can carry much larger stuff than this I feel uncomfortable doing so. I am a big fan of the GEC 25 frame and have a pemberton on the way too. The magnum and the esquire are on my list.

I really like the german navigator by the way, I thought at first that it was a Stienhart but it's missing the characteristic double dot at the 12 mark, and it looks to be a little smaller. Can you give me a bit of info on it?

much obliged, and welcome to the forum

Paul

Hi Paul i have two Esquires and a Magnum with another inbound, i used to have a Pemberton but prefer the Magnum in fact since i recieved the Magnum the Esquires dont see much pocket time..
