They're good looking wee penknives you have there buddy. I'm interested in the coined edges of the Northfield. I may have to pick one up in the new year :)

Yeah, Stowa B. Love that thing.

You may look at the Esquire. Because its a single back spring, it looks very very slim. Might be as good as a single blade for you.

Thanks for posting these pics! I'm new to traditionals as well and have been eying the Magnum as well as Pemberton... hunting for that perfect 'small knife'. I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet because I am holding out for a single blade model (which seem quite hard to find)....

The reference of size is a lot of help..... especially next to the flieger type B... stowa?

:)

Ive had it for a long time, and its great. You can find them used on a forum like watchuseek for much cheaper (they've gotten pricey!). But, of course, it something you'll have for a lifetime or two.

Keegan,

beautiful pictures. I love small patterns too, I'm quite restricted by UK carry law and although I can carry much larger stuff than this I feel uncomfortable doing so. I am a big fan of the GEC 25 frame and have a pemberton on the way too. The magnum and the esquire are on my list.

I really like the german navigator by the way, I thought at first that it was a Stienhart but it's missing the characteristic double dot at the 12 mark, and it looks to be a little smaller. Can you give me a bit of info on it?

much obliged, and welcome to the forum

Paul

I was wondering if anyone here had or could take and post a comparison picture including the #18 Beagle, #22 Magnum, and Case Peanut without much inconvenience?

Here is a quick pic of the three together. Hopefully it can hold you over until someone posts some decent photos. It is dark and rainy out...

Awesome, thank you! How do the main blade lengths compare? No need for a picture, just like 1st 2nd and 3rd.

Sorry ALLHSS, the power went out at the house literally seconds after my post...but here is the info for you.
18 Beagle- main 2 1/16", secondary 1 1/2"
22 Magnum- main 2 1/8", secondary 1 9/16"
Peanut- main 2", secondary 1 9/16"
Hope this helps!

Very cool! I think I have an irrational enjoyment of these small knives. Something paradoxically practical about them.
