GEC Tidioute #53 Moose in Ebony - SOLD///$88
Pattern #531212. 4 1/8" closed. 3" 1095 blades. Ebony scales.
Like new in tube. Never carried, used, stropped, or sharpened it, just took it out of the tube to inspect it.
Very nice ebony. It does have the deep dark brown, almost black tone but it also has some dark brown in it so it's a little lighter than what I've seen before.
As for the other little things that you may not even notice...If I get the light to glare off the blade just right, there seems to a very, very faint whisper of some scratches on the blades and bolsters as seen in the third and eighth pictures. It doesn't show up in all the pictures and you have to look hard to see it. While I did manage to get it to show up in some pictures, catching the glare of the sun to do so tends to exaggerate how noticeable it is. I believe it could be easily polished out by hand if this wasn't going to be user. I didn't notice it until I took the pictures below, but it looks like the shield inlay isn't perfect as well as seen in the second picture.
