I frequent the retailer for these, and I was just going to check out their Christmas special. Figured it was a CRK or something. Was super surprised it was these mammoth big jacks.

I actually almost snapped one of these up,dlt sent me my morning advert for the sales that week and the coming Xmas,I checked my email at about 5 minutes before drop,so as I do a quick scan to see if any new case or bokers are out,I see these,but by the time I Google what the heck I'm looking at it hits me that they are pretty danm cool,I do some quick math in my head and rationalize quite quickly that the price equals 2 number 14's,and what would I rather have 2 14's are one of these,I give my forehead a whack and say duh,unfortunately my math is slow so by the time I return to dlt my brain gets this signal of tilt like on a pinball machine, but it was fun well it lasted.

The "bark" is the outside surface of the mammoth tusk, which usually has the most interesting features. The interior is usually much plainer.

I think they are covered in epoxy (?) and they are highly polished.

They are very stabilized for obvious reasons, crosscut mammoth would just fall apart without it.

Sounds like GEC won’t be doing any more future runs in crosscut mammoth. This is a quote from the owner of DLT:

“Bill at GEC deserves all the credit. He agreed to do them for this promotion. It is this type of business owner that makes me proud to be in this knife industry. That said, he told me "don't send any more of that crosscut it was a bear to work with" so I think he wasn't a fan of the material But, they did them anyway and absolutely killed it with this project!”
