GEC #72 Use it? Or sell it to collector?

Hello,

I bought this GEC Northfield #721114LB in Antique Yellow Jig Bone when I went to the Knife Rendezvous at their shop in Titusville, PA in 2014. I looked up the production numbers for that year (in picture) just to see how many were made. Well, it says only one piece was made. My question is...should I just go ahead and use it or is it something a collector would want? Honestly, I like the knife but I'm not attached to it in any way. I just hate to ruin a knife someone out there may really want as a collectible. And I really don't know if just one knife produced even means anything...maybe it means squat...I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks for your help!

If it helps your decision at all, there's another run of 72's tentatively expected in September of this year. There's at least one dealer that you can early reserve them from already, although they don't know the exact details on the handle materials yet. If you decided to sell that one to a collector, you could theoretically replace it with one that's not as rare for your user in a couple of months when the new ones are released.

If you are not getting 100% enjoyment, then you may get a good enough price to get something else that will!
