GEC #73 Liner Lock VS Slip Joint

I'm with Bob (rma100) on this one. If you want the slipjoint, go without the linerlock, and if you want a lock, go with the #72. I'm not much of a single blade guy, but I have a nice example of each.

Thank you, Jim, I don't think you can go wrong with any #73, unless you really don't like firm springs.
They also made a few #73 jacks back in 2009, with spey masters and pen secondaries.

Strong springs don't bother me. My IRJ and A. Wright & Son Sheffield knives have strong springs.
Personally, I do absolutely prefer a single blade in that size knife though.
