Please note: These knives have minor blade scratching, rub marks, etc. I take good care of my knives and generally use them lightly, but these are used knives.

Thanks

Up for sale I have:

1) GEC Northfield Scout Trapper #735113. Very pretty cocobolo scales. I have smoothed the sharp tangs on this one and given it a good sharpening. It is an excellent slicer.

When I bought this knife it had a very stout pull---in fact, I had real trouble opening it. I sent it to GEC for an adjustment, but it came back unchanged. I put a drop of Nano Oil in the pivot and put the knife in a drawer for a couple of weeks and forgot about it. When I got it out, to my surprise, the pull was manageable. That said, it is still strong, so please don’t buy this knife unless you like a strong pull.

Includes tube & waxed paper. $55.00 SOLD

2) Case Trapper #6254. Older version in a nice black jigged bone. The blades are carbon steel (not stainless). I have polished it, smoothed the tangs, lightly satinized the blades, and sharpened it. If you look closely in the right light, you can see the faint remnants of an etching on the spey blade. "108" is on the bolster, so it was part of some sort of special run. This is a handsome knife.

It is also a hefty, substantial knife. It is heavier and the scales are a bit thicker compared to the current version of the Case trapper. The blades are also different---the clip is pointier and the spey is wider than on the newer version, which you can more or less see in my poor photos.

No box for this one. $39.00 SOLD

I'll take the Case Trapper.

You got it. BTW, I think MercyfulfateXX is close---my memory of the story is that it was a gift to a coal mine worker. If you are interested, I'll see if I can find the info.

dan55, I don't see a way to send you a message. If you can send me an e-mail, I'll reply with my PP info.

Thanks,

Andrew
