GEC #73 Scout: Need Advice, Please

Andrew...OHH Buddy,Ole Pal,Ole Friend...file your thumbnail because let me do this for you so you don't drive your wife crazy or make my head explode for asking this question ...ohhh..the hundredth time on this forum......pick a few #73 that you'd like to see Long Pull/nail nick/combination....LVS abalone, stag, bone or wood...and it would a real honest to goodness pleasure and not a problem to send them to you.

Once in a lifetime....maybe...

Couple of Rules:
No popping bottle tops
No digging crud from your boots
NO SHARPENING OR PROFILING BLADE
And
Definitely no "Whetted" the blade ( Texas vernacular for something I'm sure)

So pick, pick.pick, hurry, hurry, hurry last truck to the airport is 3PM Pacific Time

And besides you'll be saving my sanity ......

Jim,

My apologies for beating this horse to death. I'm new to traditionals and didn't realize how tiresome this question had become. I have been an "old guy" on other forums and likewise wished every new guy didn't need to be educated.

While I'm well aware of GEC's reputation for strong springs, my single blade #73, which I believe is a newer model, isn't bad at all. What I was trying to get at, in light of what Chris told me, was whether at least some of the newer 2-blade 73s were a bit easier.

Your offer is incredibly generous, and I don't know what to say.....but I guess I'll say it by PM, which is forthcoming.

Thank you.

Andrew

Andrew....

Oh ya and I forgot to mention that they would need to be returned....

Jim, I am floored by your gesture, really. And I can't wait to have a look and feel of a few of your nice #73s! This will be fun.
