Up for sale are two from my small collection. Photos and extensive descriptions follow! :)

GEC #74 Mustang - SOLD (was $55) - Stainless steel with orange Delrin covers, from GEC's small run of "S" ("parts," "store," "second" -- take your pick) Mustangs.

There is an "S" engraved into the pile side tang, but the only actual blemish I can find on the knife is that the mark side tang has some uneven grey marks on it (visible in photos). Otherwise, fit and finish is impeccable: centered blade; backspring flush when closed and at half-stop, and just a hair proud when open; good walk and talk; pull is a 4; factory edge; no gaps between liners and covers when held up to the light. I have carried this knife a few times, so it the usual handling marks on the bolsters and shield, and the brass liners show signs of light carry as well. I've never actually cut anything with it. This was $65 new.

USER GEC #77 Barlow - SOLD (was $85) - 1095 carbon steel with carbon steel bolsters, liners, and backspring; copperhead sawcut bone covers.

I paid $200 for this knife because it's my dream Barlow, and I wanted my first carbon steel knife to be something I loved and would use. I love this knife, but carbon steel just isn't for me. I used this knife daily for about a month for household tasks, primarily light cutting in the kitchen. After each use, I washed the blade carefully with soap and water and then dried it off. I have oiled the pivot once with food-safe mineral oil. I've also obsessively twirled the knife between thumb and forefinger (the big Barlow bolster makes a great counterweight for spinning!), to the point that the dye in two thumb-shaped sections of each cover is lighter from wear. The blade has a working patina (mainly from onions, strawberries, tomatoes, and chicken) that seems to have settled in nicely, and the bolsters, backspring, and liners have the start of a decent patina. The bolsters also show scuffs where I've spun this knife on my desk while thinking.

All of that said, however this is the nicest GEC knife I've ever handled: centered blade; blade flush and closed and open, but proud at the half-stop; lovely crisp walk and talk; pull is a 5; factory edge; no gaps between liners and covers when held up to the light. It's just a wonderful knife, but again I want to emphasize that this is a user. It has seen ample careful use, but no abuse; it will make someone who also wants to use it very happy.

No tubes, no paper, no buttons -- just the knives. Terms are after the photos.

PayPal only, "Goods and Services" only, continental US only. I'm covering USPS Priority Mail shipping and the PayPal fee. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

The first "I'll take it" in this thread followed by a PM gets dibs. (Questions, "I might be interested if," and the like aren't the same as claiming a knife.) If I haven't seen your PM within an hour, I'll assume you changed your mind and the knife will be available to others.

Buyer affirms they're legally permitted to own what they buy. No trades.

Thanks for looking! :)

Mustang is SPF to Rockon75.

I'm having a conversation with robbobus, who claimed the Barlow first, and depending on the outcome of that conversation the Barlow will either by SPF to robbobus or I will check in with coolhand68 (who claimed it second).

Thanks!
