GEC #85 Easy Open 2011 Traditional BladeForums Knife with KSF Leather Main St. Universal Pocketslip Pocket Knife Pouch... $SOLD.
I am not the first owner, and I believe it might have been sharpened once because it is very sharp. When I first received it, I put a light patina on the blade, backsprings, and liners in order to prevent any rusting. It has been very light used to open a couple of packages, and it has been only carried in the Main St. leather pocketslip which has been worked in enough to fit the knife like a glove. I really do not want to sell this one, but fundage dictates that I need to. I will honestly be happy if it doesn't sell. My price reflects what I paid for it plus fully insured shipping to the CONUS, as well as 10 dollars for the included Main St. Pocketslip (which has a value of $17.77).
In the following photo you can see a tiny micro flat spot where the edge of the blade made contact with the backspring from closing shut to hard. You need to close the #85s gentle and this is normal for this patter. This flat spot is not a bad one at all compared to others I've seen and had, and it can be easily sharpened out or sent back to gEC for adjustments/sharpening.
The Following photos are older than the previous photos which where taken in the last few days. There are shots in various lighting from low/regular light to bright direct sunlight...
For size comparison: along side an Opinel No.7, a Case mini Copperlock, and and TC Barlow...
Before the Patina..
