I've owned this GEC #85 for about 2 months. It's been carried and used but it is still very nice. I can leave the patina for you or I can use Flitz to polish it off and make the blades look shiny and new again. It's up to you.
Everything is perfect with this knife except for one thing. I'm having trouble sharpening the main blade on this one. I'm not sure if it is me or if there is something wrong with the steel. I only have DMT stones and ceramics and I've been told that DMT and ceramics may not be the best for 1095 steel. If there is something wrong with the steel, you can send it to GEC and they will either replace the blade or replace the knife. I just don't feel like dealing with that. I took the pictures tonight. The knife comes in the original GEC cardboard tube that all GEC knives come in with wax paper.
I am asking $60 shipped for this guy. I paid $94 for this brand new.
