Selling a GEC #85 Jack in Ebony. About 8 months ago I sold my Northfield Cocobolo #85 and regretted it soon thereafter. Purchased a Tidioute ebony version of the knife several weeks ago. Had it professionally sharpened 1X (23 degrees), but missed the cocobolo. Last week landed a Cocobolo #85, so I am releasing this one. Carried all of three days, sharpened 1X, cut some lemon for vodka drinks, so we have the start of a patina on the spear.....and what a spear it is! I call it Mickey as it bears the #7 (serialized) for Mickey Mantel. I am a Red Sox fan, but Mickey Mantle is one of the few Yankees I like....showing age here. Fit and finish is great, as expected from GEC. Blades centered scales and bolsters line up nicely.
