Two of my few remaining GECs are up for grabs today. Both very special to me, excellent examples of GEC's quality, and deserving of a new home with someone who will appreciate them.
1. GEC 85 (eo) in Tiger Maple: Just a stunning piece. Picked this up NIT from a friend, and I've pocketed it once or twice but I don't think I've ever cut with it. Blade looks pristine to me, bolsters aren't quite as bright as they were originally probably due to handling. I'm certain a little Flitz could shine them right up. Stunning covers. I just don't carry this, however, and I'm trying to raise funds for a purchase. Excellent walk and talk, no blade wobble, no blade rap. This one deserves a good home with someone who will appreciate it. Asking sold
2. GEC 78 in Blue Camel Bone: I picked this up right around the time I was getting into traditionals and GEC. It was also my first experience paying secondary prices (what a time to be in the GEC game -- caplifters sitting at dealers, 78s galore, etc. -- things have changed, sadly!). I love this knife. It's just a perfect example of simple done right. Beautiful, rich bone covers. I've carried, used, and (I think) sharpened this knife. It has a little patina, but nothing serious. Excellent walk and talk characteristic of this run, no blade wobble. But alas, I don't carry it, and someone who will appreciate it as I have deserves it Asking sold
