Well friends... as I’ve been waiting for a shot at a ss GEC for quite a while now, and reading this fine thread... I decided to bite.
Upon its arrival, my A&O 89 sure delivered!
Now don’t get me wrong... a hair of a proud tip, another hair of blade wrap, seams, and anything but evenly distributed colour schemes, were all prevalent.
What it did feature though, is a silvery-red as the dominant colour, the more the better here! A swirl pattern on the pile resembling a fixed hunter on a lanyard, in place of a shield. Another on the mark resembling a cinnamon stick . Quirky Kool! The sparkly-orange areas are bordered by silvery-black outlines that when viewed from an angle appear to have depth in the scales. Like looking through drops of water. Very Kool! The blade is quite sharp on this one, for factory and has already been performing quite well! The blade is centered and for it’s size has the tightest clap, not snap, I’ve ever had from GEC. Awesome!
This particular example was procured to work in and around the house from the pocket. I wanted a Stainless GEC that I would adore using. Here it is earlier slicing and dicing garlic & onions and on a barrel in the rain... All bases have been covered!
