Focusing my 92 collection on just Northfields so selling a rare Tidioute today. This is the all steel Eureka in maroon linen micarta. I am the second owner; the original owner ground down the coping blade into more of a wharncliffe profile to provide easier access to the main blade. The work was done extremely well, looks like it came from the factory that way.
Has been carried and used a bit, light patina forming on main and backspring. One pepper spot on secondary. Blades are very solid with no wobble, centered, good walk and talk. Pull is about a 5 on the main and 6 on the secondary, main is very easily pinchable especially with the mod. (Also, I apologize for the poor quality of the pics, my only camera is my cell phone and it does a really bad job in any lighting. The covers are more obviously maroon in person.)
I'm not sure how to value this, I received it in a trade and can't find any recent comparables that still have prices listed. I'll ask $sold but feel free to make an offer if that is high. Only trade interests right now are a Eureka in Che Chen Rosewood OR Canal Street 2-blade English Barlow. Please send PM or email to mbplitt@gmail.com.
