GEC 98 Texas Cattle/Whittler

The 98 Whittler is one of my “Damnit, I shoulda bought that!” knives.

Who has one?

how do you like it?

and most importantly... does anyone know when they will be made again??

Same, I’d like one of the whittlers or camp knife. I’ve heard it was a one and done something about them being hard to produce, not sure if it was due to the size or number of blades or both. You don’t see them come up often for sale.

I've had several and moved them along, just a little too big for me. Yes, I can be mighty foolish!
If I had been able to keep every GEC I've had . . . what a collection! Of course I'd be divorced and broke, but . . .

I have been begging Bill to make a Camp/Scout knife that size for several years!! 3 5/8" to 3 7/8 and EE!!!

Don't carry it often but it is a surprisingly comfortable knife for me to use but I wear xxl gloves. From what I've read here on BF I doubt we'll be seeing more anytime soon, seems it was a difficult pattern.

I often wonder why...I remember those switchblade combs everywhere as a kid in stores. Nobody I knew ever had one. Silly...

Riz - I can relate. I should have bought a 38 pruner when they sat forever online! Missed that boat. Good luck with your search.

I have a 98 Camp Knife and its one of my favorite GECs in my small collection. I carry on my belt and use it all the time. The can opener also, conveniently, works as a bottle opener.
