When GEC uses American Elk it is almost always matched with 440C stainless.
The only exception I can find is a fixed blade H73. I really like Elk handles, so here are the three that I own.
I hope others will post some pictures of their Elks. (They don't need to be GECs)

#47 Viper
#H734 Upland Hunter
#72 Lockback

Here's a #68 White Owl in, as you would guess, 440C and Elk

Thanks for posting the pictures !! Fantastic!!
The more I see and hold the Elk the more I like it. The contrast in the light and dark. The smooth feel. And the acorn shield.

I didn't know about the #25EO. I can see why it was your grail, Rick. My grail was the #47 Viper, and a forum member was very
kind and contacted me after I posted in WTB. BF does it again !!

So we have a 47, 72, 33,48, 68, 25 .....that are posted.

Some others types are the 42, 53, 73, & 89. Does anyone want to join, and post pictures of these patterns ?

And I have left out the fixed blades. Does anyone have the Elk in 1095 ???

Can't say I was aware they'd paired any elk w' 1095. These are all elk & SS. The toothpick is my most used GEC, though it was fairly new in the photo.

The top Congress looks so good it reminds me of Mammoth !! Thanks for posting.

Here's a Buck Skinner in Elk and BG-42.

Here's a collection shot I took a while back.

#25s, #33s, #42, #48s, #61, #68, #72, #73, #89

John, the scales on this knife match up to any I've ever seen !! Again they remind me of the best Mammoth.

Spectacular..

Gary, That is some thick Stag on that skinner. I bet you can feel the weight.

Trand, Once again I can use your great collection as a reference. The #89 melon tester is so cool.

The only GEC folding pattern, made in Elk, that no one has posted is #63 Mako. (I think)

Thanks to all who have posted the lovely knives.

Here is the only clue that GEC ever made a knife with Elk (acorn shield) and 1095

I will believe it when I see it (posted).
