That is nice to know Jeff. Thanks for the confirmation.
That 42 makes me so very jealous.
John, the scales on this knife match up to any I've ever seen !! Again they remind me of the best Mammoth.
Spectacular..
Gary, That is some thick Stag on that skinner. I bet you can feel the weight.
Trand, Once again I can use your great collection as a reference. The #89 melon tester is so cool.
The only GEC folding pattern, made in Elk, that no one has posted is #63 Mako. (I think)
Thanks to all who have posted the lovely knives.
Beautiful knives everyone. 2 Dead awesome collection.
How about some red stag and some 440C?

I got bit by the elk bug 😁
This 42 pattern is amazing. The blade is every bit of 3.5" which is impressive on a 4.25" pattern. You can even catch your finger on the tip of the blade when it's closed.
Although I'm in love with the pattern, and the stag looks good, it's awfully thin.

Overall I'm very impressed. I do wish the slabs were a bit thicker though! Either way this baby is coming to work with me tomorrow!![]()
If you put your thumb just above the acorn shield you can get a really nice pinch on it. But when you are just looking at it and feeling it, it bugs me. Once I find a good pocket clip sheath for it I think I will be happy, because the frame size is so prefect and it's lighter and less bulky so it will make a nice carry IMO. The slab on the back is incredible. That is on the thin side, but still a looker. How does it feel in your hand?
