Please note: These knives have been sharpened and used (with the exception of the Case Pocket Hunter), and have some minor blade scratching, rub marks, etc. The carbon knives have varying degrees of patina. I take good care of my knives and generally use them lightly, but these are used knives.

Thanks.

1) GEC Northfield #73 Single Blade Trapper in Cocobolo. #735111T. 1095 carbon steel. Great edge geometry, very sharp, and a great slicer. Has a half stop. Unlike some of the earlier #73s that were bear traps, this one has an excellent pull---firm but not difficult.

I rounded the sharp “GEC tangs” on this knife, and it is now more comfortable in the pocket with the smoother tangs.

Includes tube. $59.00 TRADED

2) GEC Northfield #25 Easy Open Jack Spear Point in Burnt Stag. #252109EO. 1095 carbon steel. Has a moderate pull and a half stop.

I also rounded the tangs on this knife, and it is now more comfortable in the pocket without the sharp tangs it came with.

In addition, I slimmed down the top of the blade a little, because I thought the exaggerated paddle shape that GEC had on the spear point was too much.

After I first got this nice little knife, I wrote a bit on it here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/941107-GEC-25-quot-EZ-Slicer-quot (pics in this thread are before I slimmed down the blade)

Finally, this knife allows for a little stronger grip than most #25s, for a couple of reasons: (1) the stag scales are thicker; (2) the EZ Open cut-out notch holds your ring finger in place securely.

Includes tube (but no waxed paper). $49.00 SOLD

3) Case Mini Trapper Wharncliffe in Antique Bone. #6107W SS. #25806. Stainless steel. This one has an easy pull and a half stop. 3.5” closed.

After reading David/OWE’s advice here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/976716-Thinning-Hollow-Grind-Blades I decided to thin out the shoulders on this knife’s hollow grind to improve its slicing performance. This did in fact improve it on that score, although it also left some scratching on the blade. I converted the mirror finish to a satin to hide the scratches, but it’s a pretty quick and amateurish job. Anyone who wants “pretty” can certainly improve on it.

Includes box. $29.00 SOLD

4) Case Pocket Hunter in Blue Jigged Bone. #61165 TH SS. Stainless steel. Small at 2 ¾” closed, but with an almost 2" cutting edge. Nice moderate pull and no half stop. Appears to be new, unused, and unsharpened.

No box with this one. $35.00 TRADED

5) Bulldog Barlow in Tan Jigged Bone. Blade is not perfectly centered but doesn't rub against liners. Has a couple of very slight gaps between liners and scales and liners and backspring but you need a loupe to really see them. Nice moderate pull and can be pinched open. Has a half stop. Comfortable size at 3.5" closed, and Bulldog's carbon steel takes a good edge. Sharpened right to the dogs’ feet.

Includes box $27.00 TRADED
