does anyone know how many of these were made? I’ve been trying to track one down for a while and it’s been challenging to say the least.

Can anyone rec something similar?

It’s literally exactly what I asked for, and yet I am still impressed. Well done.
Thank you :) I realized I misstated some of the numbers...you were asking specifically for F&F 99...in which case there were only 837 made in 5 different materials (Black Delrin, Orange Delrin, Nifebrite Acrylic, Maroon Linen Micarta and OD Green Linen Micarta). The remaining 99s were Tidioute, Northfield or KSF SFOs.
I would love to see some photos let's see if we can dig some up.

Don't forget how the Farm and Field line got started. They started with Mike Latham's ( knifeswapper knifeswapper ) Bull Nose Work Knife SFO. I think there were only 29 of them made. They were the first " Sod Buster" style knives made by GEC. I believe they were the first GEC knives to use 01 Tool Steel. Mike could add to this if he sees this post.

Here is GEC's Farm & Field description.

First, Mike's knife; then the Red Necks; then the Farm & Fields.

I'm wondering if waverave waverave should give them a mention somehow in the Farm & Field totals - maybe a sub-Farm & Field section.

Anyway, I thought you guys/gals would enjoy the pics.

Interesting! What I had in the database for these is what was in the production totals...they were only listed as "Bullnose" without a tang number associated with it. The Smooth Orange is the only run listed for 2011...28 of them made. I'll update the database to replace "Bullnose" with "715111" in this case.
I also see a Black Delrin 715112 the following year but that is all that is listed for Mike Latham.
There were a few F&F variations in 2012 in addition to Mike's SFO...available in Orange Delrin, Black Delrin or Nifebrite Acrylic.
As far as I can tell, those are the only 71's that were produced.

Here is the 715112 made for Mike.

And the non-SFO put out later.

NOTE: Mike's SFO has no marking on the pivot washer while the one put out later by GEC has F&F on the pivot washer. Both are called Bull Nose Work Knife. ALSO, note the release dates.

Thanks for the great info Ed. I may have to make note of the different steel used for those too. Do you know if there were any other patterns in the 01 tool steel?

I can't say for sure. knifeswapper knifeswapper could of course provide a solid answer.

Further, if you have no objection, I am going to copy my post in this thread and paste it in your thread. I think than more people will see it there than here as I don't think this thread will run for a long period.
