GEC Geppetto pattern mock up

A wharncliffe whittler... my poor wallet. Looks very nice. I don't comment pattern name but looks bit like Case Seahorse whittler.

I hope they offer an Ebony in the Northfield line rather than Tidioute on this one.

I know what you mean, I have few Tidioute's in Ebony which would look great with the Northfield swedged blades.

Not a big fan of the thicker bodied wharncliffe whittler patterns - I like mine slimmer and curvier. Though the question must be asked - if you lie while holding one of these, does the blade get longer? Some folks will wind up with a sword pretty quickly. :D

Good one, Dwight! I, too, am not a fan. The Wharncliffe main at the large end doesn't look right, or very ergonomic, either. Too deep.

The small clip blade is a nice addition, though.

I'm a sucker for a Wharncliffe, so I'll probably be all over this one. It's hard to tell from a rough mockup, but I'd like to see a bit more hump on the back of the master blade to create a more pronounced 'S'-shaped curve from handle to blade spine, like this:

I love the looks of this pattern it reminds me a great deal of cases seahorse whittler but IMO with better materials.

It looks like a nicely designed whittler. I've been wanting a whittler in Ebony and it looks like the Tidioute line will have one. I may have to pick one up.

Hmmm.....looks like we were on the right track.;)

This one gets a big fat  from me. Unfortunately I feel that way about a few of the patterns that have recently been released. If they are going to make variations of frames already in use, I would love to see a WT version of the #48 pattern. I think that would be way more popular than yet another wharncliffe bladed whittler.

Oh well, at least I have the #85 to look forward to.:D

After the last couple weeks, a moritorium has been enacted on my acquisitions. Luckily it seems we have some time until production piece releases for final review and rule breaking.
