Have a user GEC fixed for sale, it’s been carried and used, but only as a knife- no abuse. The patina is from cutting up horseradish, the scratches from the sheath. It’s not the prettiest but the steel takes a fantastic thin edge. The handles are tight, no cracks in the cherry wood. The guard is tight, overall completely solid. I did treat the sheath with waterproofing wax.
I tried to make sure the pictures highlighted the scratches- they don’t appear as badly in person.
