Nice antler assortment there, Dennis.

Thanks for the on-going GEC gallery. They sure do build some handsome knives.

What a beautiful line up. Thanks for posting them Dennis!

Wow those are some stag beauties you have! My favorite handle material by far.

Very very nice Dennis. You ought to send a picture of all you GEC knives to GEC. I'd bet they'd get a kick out of seeing all of them and knowing that they have a super, loyal, fan.

While we're on the subject of GEC and stag, does anyone know what burnt stag looks like before it's been artificially colored?

Dennis, looks like you've got the definitive GEC collection going on here:thumbup: Your acrylics were sweet and these are in keeping with your established standards. Thanks for sharing!....oh and great camera work:D

Like unburnt stag?:D

i thank you guys for the response from such a novice as myself. i'm still strugglin with the computer but photography is very difficult. seeing what some formites can do with pics makes me chagrined. i'm sure some one in queen, case or gec could explain the coloring process if they desired. i'm beginning to think this stag coloring is a proprietary thing so no one is talking. i ca'nt blame companies for keeping their processes secret but maybe some ole timer in the industry will shed a spark. after all these years i do'nt have a clue about bone or stag coloring processes.

Dennis has some in his picture above that are "Genuine Stag" and not burnt or shielded. Middle row left is one for sure and I expect the Pioneer Linerlock in the top row as well as maybe another or two. You can tell as they don't have the burnt or mellow appearance to them.
