GEC Leather Pocket Slip: Help

I beieve chrome tanning was made illegal in Canada many years ago because of the pollution it caused. It was likely the cause of the demise of the once huge tannery business.

Derrick, not to highjack this thread but this gives me an opportunity to ask you when you might be expecting more of the standard KSF PocketSlips? I'm wanting a few more but you've been out for some time. Those are the best I've found anywhere.

You must be asking about the Pocket Slip with the rivets, which are available in large only for now, I assume. The original "Main Street" Universal Pocket slip without the rivets is available in the smaller size.

Love my KSF pocket slip. It disappears in my pocket and I forget it's there until I need it.

Yep, I was asking about the smaller one with the rivets (referred to as "standard" on the website). I have it and the universal but prefer the standard. Great slip!

I recently received my GEC leather pouch and was surprised at the leather used for the back half. I assume it is either to make it slip resistant in the pocket or just to cut costs.

I had thought about trying the GEC pouch but after this thread I think I'll stick to KSF. :)

I have a large & small GEC pouch I've been using for a while now. My dads neighbor does leather work & copied the GEC design but used leather that looks like alligator skin pattern. They actually Turned out pretty nice for just being quickly made using scraps. I will get pictures this weekend when I go to visit.

I need to swing by my local Tractor Supply and check out these kangaroo leather gloves! Thanks for the idea STR.

That is actually a gripe of mine...I am almost completely out of leather.

I've been making these slips for my slippies and they are working wonderfully! The tooling gives them a nice grip while keeping the smooth glossiness of the finished leather.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I assume you're a paying dealer, and if so, I would like a leather sheath like the middle brown one above. If I'm wrong in my assumption, then I'll just take another beat down; I'm used to it already.

Yes I am, email sent.

I wouldn't call this a beat down. More like a friendly reminder. Offers to purchase are not allowed in the discussion threads. It would be more appropriate to inquire via Private Message, Visitor Message or email.:)
