GEC or Northwoods for first Traditional?

I have seen one of the same and it is a fine knife and covers a lot of ground with 3 practical blades and an awl. Great size too. Be sure to post up some pics of it.

I love the look but the blades are so stiff! I'm afraid of cutting myself just trying to open it. Is there a way to "loosen" them up a bit?

Slippery slope with these little rascals.

It is a slippery slope. GECs and Northwoods tend to multiply. You mentioned a suit pocket - anything UNXLD will be pretty enough to impress in the office. Stick with a smaller blade like the GEC 92 and you'll be less prone to scaring the locals. There are still some spearpoint 92 UNXLDs in moss green jig bone out there. Would be a superb office knife.

A Northfield 92 Spearpoint in moss green was my office knife today.

Let's go back to the Burnside Jack for a moment, because it's an awesome knife. I want to show you the profile of my stag burnside... it's not thick at all, and anything but "fat stag." As a matter of fact, one side is a bit concave and fits my hand perfectly!

First the jack...
