GEC Peanut?

if you are dead set on a GEC go with the #33 conductor pattern I own the northfield in burnt stag and all I can say is the quality was superb all in all an excellent pen knife.

Normal civilians, and maybe some of you folks too, would think I'm weird but I carry a Case Peanut and a GEC Conductor ..... at the same time! :D

The Conductor is slightly larger but still rides unnoticed in the watch pocket of my jeans. I didn't think I liked "pen" knives until I tried the Conductor - built like a (mini) tank with just right amount of pull and snap. Not a nail breaker by any means, but not soft or lazy either.

Now having said all that, it's hard to beat a Case Chestnut Bone CV Peanut. The Conductor gets rotated out of my watch pocket, but my Chestnut Bone Peanut always rides LF pocket. Period.

Just get the Case yellow CV peanut and be done with it ! :) Seriously though, it is a great knife, and pretty cheap too.

Its not a GEC but still good quality, Schatt and Morgan makes a nice peanut that usually can be had for around $50. Also you really cant go wront with a case peanut. I was just looking for a new peanut the other day and ended up gwtting a buck 306 instead as I liked the scissors instead of a pen blade, it is usa made as well and pretty easy on my wallet.

I've always preferred makers other than case for that size knife simply because I do not like the shape of that front bolster--I love the Trapper shaped frames for a peanut sized knife.

Though, if GEC ever made a peanut sized dogleg knife, I'd be all over it...

That sounds like a great knife.

A GEC 3" #25 single blade jack is slim, and although it is larger than the peanut, it is small enough to 'disappear'

I used to feel the same way about the front bolsters on peanuts.
I forced myself to carry a peanut and use it wherever possible, and it only took me a couple of days to love it. Because of the sheer utility of such a knife, I have grown to like its looks too, including the bolsters when the knife is closed.
When it's open however, the bolsters look as dorky as ever, but I can live with that.
I wouldn't mind getting hold of a peanut-sized trapper though, but only if it had a spear secondary blade, not a spey.

Does anyone make a version of a tiny trapper like that?

The GEC #25 Barlow, at 3", is the nearest to the Case Peanut in length. I have one of each, and they are my dress clothes edc's. The Peanut is the size of my little finger, whereas the GEC #25 is thumb-sized.

Kissing Crane makes a peanut sized trapper but with a spey blade. Actually, its slightly bigger...

Hi,

I like the Kissing Crane Tiny Trapper! Might have to find one of those. For a Peanut with a frame that's like the Kissing Crane, but with a Pen blade, you can try to troll up a Camillus 21 or 22 Peanut. While aren't new anymore, they can be still be had inexpensively.

I have been carrying this one for the last couple days
