Stag, smooth bone, I would even jump at ebony. My 85 ebony is really making me have a soft spot for the handle material.

Isn't their Farmer pattern more or less a sodbuster with jigged bone? Or are you fellas thinking even more rustic looking. Like bareheaded? I would love that! And please keep the O1 steel.

Bemo,

The differences in the 73 vs 71 may seem suddle but in real life and use they are quite different knives. I lean to the 71 but love both. The big draw like you mentioned is the O1 steel. But it also has steel liners and pins. The action is smoother with a better snap than any of my 73's. I just like it better than the 73's and I love 73's.

The only thing I perfer about the 73 is the bolster(s).

Relocked by OP.

Didn't take long to take this thread off-topic, which was that the orange covered bullnose work knife was available once again.

I was hoping that we could discuss their initial availability the fact that they were available again and that perhaps they would become a permanently available knife from collector.net and/or GEC in the future and that hopefully they would be available with black covers again. In other words, just the availability of this knife in the past, present, and future.

Pattern comparisons, pivot locks, etc. can be discussed in this thread from the past.

I hope everyone that missed them before and were disappointed about not getting one on the first go-around will be able to get one this go-around.
