Recommendation? GEC single blade 15

To the OP I may be in the minority but I personally don’t prefer the single blade 15 boy's knife- its just on the too small and too light side for me to warm to it. I prefer the barlow and the beer scout configuration due to their extra heft. Just saying this as the fervour over the 15 may give you the impression its a universally coveted pattern.

I find the single 15 very good, even though I have a couple of 'doubles' to compare it with.

It is the 14 I think too skimpy in single blade style, with that pattern the Jack version is much more credible in the hand.

I'm with you here. I find even the single blade barlow not quite as hefty as I like.

My 35 Churchill is getting a lot of pocket time lately, but I do keep coming back to my 15 Crown Lifter for rougher work around the farm. I pair it with a modern folder usually, but I can't seem to get along very well without that handy screwdriver.

The "Soda Scout" is the perfect 15, to me. Let's have it with a clip blade next time around! :)
