I just received my GEC Tidioute Ebony White Owl and this knife rates up there as one of my best.
No doubt about it!
Nice slim design, not to heavy - not too light, feels great in the hand and is very well balanced.
I bought the spear point.

Here's a link to the stock pic....

I've got a Buffalo Horn Pemberton on the way. If it's anything like this White Owl, I'm sure I'll be very happy.

P.S. What do the 3 P's in the circle stand for?

Congratulations! I am also very tempted by the White Owl.

The 3 P's stand for "Premier Pattern Production", signifying these knives are from the very first run of this pattern.

I have a single blade Pemberton, and I like it so much, it bumped my Stag Damascus Peanut out of my pocket.

Great choice, I love my clip version too. Usually I carry two spring knives, but it's perfect when you need something slim.

The Ps stand for Pattern Production Premier, meaning it was the first run of this pattern.

Edit: Yeah, waaaay too slow :)

> something for digging out the thread

thank you! :-) I had not read that thread, I googled it.
the etch disappears quickly under the patina.

Tidioute is the lower priced plain Jane version of a pattern, the Pimped Version costs extra, and gets the Northfield label, with fancier bolsters, long pulls instead of nail nicks, and a stag option.

Hoo boy, I have always liked equal enders, and have one of those beauties. I just don't have enough pockets!!

Aaah the White Owl.
Its such a great little knife until you open up that main blade and then its quite formidable. I love my snakewood clip.
Just thinking out loud here and wondering if they would make a larger version and call it "The Bald Eagle " or "Roadrunner" or "Condor"or other American bird.

I received mine yesterday, it's a work of art, nice medium size knife that disappears in the pocket and a efficient slicer, I'm hooked.

There is also a Cigar reference in the name, the knife being a version of what is often called a cigar pattern (straight equal ender). I used to smoke White Owls, before I knew better!

Good news is you dont have to wait to get your knife :D

Bad news is they gave it a boring name, I like your idea much better

Like Charlie I'm a fan of Equal Enders two.

Didn't know about the cigar reference, nice tid-bit.

Here are my White Owl and its bigger brother....

It was my first GEC. Since then, I've added, er, a few more. Here and there. Lil' bit. :o

I sure do love the White Owl, though.

bdev that is a great purchase. I agree totally with those who are praising the choice of the owl. MOF I just put up a post last week about the 1 year anniversary mark for the ebony owl I carry. It was my only EDC for 6 months and since then has split time about evenly with the knife I purchased for my wedding, a gunstock jack. I absolutely love the single spring design on this knife and consider it the most comfortable carrying knife I have ever owned.

Here's a pic after one year of carry:

Enjoy the owl and let us know how it works for you.
