Here is an 18 inch, 21 ounce Gelbu Special by old faithful, Kesar. He's done his usual good work in this rig and I rate it as a 10/10 effort. The only thing wrong with the entire rig is the scabbard took a hit somewhere along the way and there's a couple of small tears in the leather. I think you can see the worst tear in the pix.

That tear saves you $50 off regular. You can patch it, leave it as is, or send it to Terry Sisco for recovering. He'll do it for less than the $50 you're saving.

So we will deliver this rig to your door for an even $100.

Call or email if interested.

Rob,
I just could not behave myself any longer. I have always wanted a Gelbu Special and I felt I really should have a BAS. It seems to be one of those standard choices like the WW2 that all others are compared to as a point of referance. Now I will have a better point of referance to go on.
As an aside Uncle Bill, I took my YCS out for the first time this weekend to do some yearly yard maint. and limbing and the like. I was truly amazed at how well that light blade chops. It bites into wood like a hungry demon. It does not bite as deeply as say an 18"AK but
it's close with much less fatigue when the day was done. What really shocked me was the small 1 and 2 inch limbs and trees (maple mostly) that it sliced through so easily that I almost hurt myself by applying to much force. Yvsa, that is one sweeeet design you made there. I look forward to my next chopping sessions with glee. HeHeHe. I do not suffer from HIKV. I am enjoying every minute of it. :D:D Thanks Uncle Bill!!!!!!!!
