Gemini prototype for sale

Well guys - don't know if I ought to add anything to this or not

Nonetheless, for better or worse, the last 12 hours of the auction have arrived.

Additionally today is the absolute last day for anyone still wishing to get in on a Gemini Balisong - this went 2 weeks longer than expected while we got some last minute things done but this is it. Thanks to all who took the time and effort to finalize their Gemini orders in the last few weeks - we really appreciate it very much.

If it concerns balisongs,I believe that an auction notice for a special knife belongs in the balisong forum.
Sure, the originator of this thread made a mistake when he determined the title of the thread, which he has already apologized for.Let that part be.

All in all,I would like to see auction notices for special balisongs and for sale notices concerning *older* balisongs (ones which I remember from the early '80's and would love to get a hold on..)posted in the place made especially for balisongs...the Balisong Forum.

I really can't believe what I'm reading here, especially in the beginning. At first I didn't even read this thread when it started, mostly because I don't even have close to the amount of cash to win the auction. I just read Chucks first post about how it's on auction and that was the end of it. But I've notice that it's generating a little heat lately so I figured I'd check it out. That said...

Chuck has not broken any of the forum rules or bent them to his favor. I can't believe anyone would accuse him of that after reading his first post.

Granted, the title was a mistake. Chuck appologised and offered to fix it. Nobody took him up on that, so it should be a dead subject.

Next, the rules of the forum are that you can post an auction notice at any time, as long as you are not the seller. I've done this plenty of times. Like this for example:

http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/002324.html

Yeah, it was an auction going on involving a rare knife that would be of interest to others on the forum. What's the problem? I don't see any. I'm not making a cent off of that knife. To my knowledge, Chuck isn't making a cent off of this knife either. If he is, then I disagree with this thread. If Darrel asked Chuck to post this thread here so as to give himself a little free advertising (which I would also bet is not the case) then I would again say that this thread doesn't belong here. BUT, I don't think that is what is going on here. I would imagine, if it weren't for Chuck posting this here, a good majority of us wouldn't have even known that it was for sale in the first place.

I think it should be encouraged that we post auctions and such that have rare/older balis that aren't as available anymore; provided that the person posting the thread is not the seller. It's been done in the past plenty, and I think we should continue to make each other aware of what is going on (sales and market value) in the balisong community.
