I had never tried making a dagger before, so I jumped in and made a pair of them.
I thought that if I made any huge mistakes, then at least one of them might turn out OK.
I'm reasonably happy with how they turned out given my skill level.
I'm more frustrated trying to take a decent photo (my son just told me "let's face it, you're not SharpByCoop"...)
I more or less followed the Culver tutorials to make the handles from African Blackwood and 14k filled wire.
CPM 3V blades at 60 hardness, etc.

Thanks, yes, I struggle at each step.
For these I did a couple practice runs on the dagger grind using mild steel.
perhaps a better photo.

Thanks guys.
Josh, the guards and pommels are just 1018 mild steel with cold blue.
It was nice how well they took the bluing.

This is great work, but I think you've done yourself a disservice posting it in the knifemaker section. Not that knifemakers can't and won't appreciate these, but COLLECTORS are who should be viewing these. Consider posting these in the Custom and Handmade section!!!!

Nice work!!!!!

Thanks guys.
Matthew, I wasn't sure where best to post it, but I figured that my main interest is in learning methods and ideas from posts around here with WIP, tutorials etc.
